Tufts $100k New Ventures Competition: Finalists announced!
Last week, 30 Tufts teams presented their ventures to judges in the first in-person/hybrid semifinals event since 2020. In total,15 teams are advancing to the finals round, where they will compete for a chance to win cash and in-kind prizes valued at over $250,000.

Stuart Weitzman: Building a Shoe Brand Meant Taking the Road Less Traveled
Renowned shoe designer Stuart Weitzman inspired Tufts students on February 22 with the story of his entrepreneurial journey. Stuart spoke about risk, imagination, inspiration, and the importance of community. Tufts students even got to model his iconic designs.
This event was co-sponsored by the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Derby Entrepreneurship Center.
Did you know that many students, faculty, staff and alumni own consumer facing small businesses? To showcase their creativity, we hosted the first-ever Consumer Product Fair in February. Seven Tufts-led small businesses set up shop in the JCC atrium and did some brisk business. Products spanned apparel, jewelry and accessories, snacks and beverages. The real value of this fair was in supporting entrepreneurs at Tufts to take their idea to action - and just start.
Tufts Venture Accelerator: Summer 2024: Application Deadline is April 7th!
The Tufts Venture Accelerator is a full-time, 10-week-long summer venture accelerator that provides structure, accountability, educational experiences and funding to help Tufts entrepreneurs make rapid progress throughout the summer. Participants will receive tailored coaching, and are eligible to apply for up to $10,000 in venture awards.

Since 1994, Harvard Business School has held the Asia Business Conference – a hallmark event which aims to bring together Asian community and its leading entrepreneurs, professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders. This Pitch-A-Thon sponsored by IDEA, Northeastern's Venture Accelerator, is scheduled for Tuesday, April 2nd, from 6-9 pm, at Northeastern University.
