Tufts New Ventures Competition 2025 - Winners Announced!
Congratulations to the winning teams and award recipients in this year's Tufts New Ventures Competition Finals! It is always exciting to see the entrepreneurial spirit at Tufts in action at each stage of the New Ventures Competition, and the most thrilling day of all is the Finals, which took place this year on April 4th. This year's teams put their ingenuity and passion to work creating and refining solutions for some of the world's toughest problems. We are looking forward to seeing where their entrepreneurial mindsets take them in the future!
Thank you to the judges and coaches at all stages of this competition, who gave their time and invaluable feedback to our teams, as well as the many staff members who helped run this year's competition!
"NESCAC" stands for "New England Small College Athletic Conference", home to 11 private colleges and universities located throughout New England and New York, including Tufts University. On April 11, Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship hosted the first-ever NESCAC Entrepreneurship Day at MIT, where 45 students and 10+ alumni mentors from NESCAC schools came to MIT, formed cross-school teams, and collaborated on a full-day innovation sprint, followed by a Cross University Student Innovators Mixer (CUSI) hosted by the MIT Office of Innovation.
We hope that our entrepreneurial students will stay in touch and continue to collaborate. Go forth and solve big problems together!
Women Entrepreneurs at Tufts host We Lead Conference
On Sunday, April 13th, Women Entrepreneurs at Tufts (WE@T - the Tufts University student group for women entrepreneurs) - hosted their annual We Lead conference. Maya Kennedy and Anoushka Madan opened the event, then Tufts MSIM23 alumna Anushka Singh shared her personal story in an opening keynote address. A fantastic panel of entrepreneurial leaders then shared their experiences and perspectives with the audience. WE@T aims to encourage and engage women to celebrate their own capacity as entrepreneurs and business leaders. Today is a wonderful showcase of their success.

Tufts Entrepreneurial Network (TEN) NYC Event: Annual Soiree at Bella Union - May 6
Are you in New York on May 6? If so, join us for the Tufts Entrepreneural Network (TEN’s) Annual Soiree taking place on the rooftop of Bella Union. Members of the Tufts community, including Kevin Oye, Executive Director of The Gordon Institute, and Elaine Chen, Cummings Family Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship & Director at the Derby Entrepreneurship Center, will be in attendance as well. The Abda Food Innovation Fund has been created to support students and their entrepreneurial ideas that inspire innovation in the food and nutrition space. It provides students an opportunity to develop and evaluate their business ideas related to food, nutrition, agriculture, and technology, supporting advancement in these fields. The goal is to provide students with focused time and resources to work on their ideas, foster creativity, and stimulate thinking.
